Chicken Salad Chick remains on the fast track when it comes to expansion.
The fast-casual chicken salad restaurant chain will open its first-ever location in the Chicago metro area on Jan. 10, in Batavia, Ill. It will be the company’s fourth location in the state.
In addition, Chicken Salad Chick has signed two development deals for Colorado as the brand continues its Westward expansion. The signed agreements will bring six locations to Denver and three locations to Colorado Springs, building on the existing development in northern Colorado that Chicken Salad Chick announced earlier this year.
The first of the six locations for Denver is slated to come summer 2023, and all six are planned to open during the next five years.
The new locations will join Chicken Salad Chick’s first location in Colorado, which is currently under construction in Greeley and is slated to open in the second quarter of this year.
“At the beginning of this year, we put a strong focus on finding the right franchise partners in the Colorado Springs market and Denver market to support the momentum the we have generated around brand development in Colorado,” said Scott Deviney, CEO of Chicken Salad Chick. “We’ve been targeting a concentric circle growth strategy that Colorado falls perfectly in and we’re thrilled to expand the brand’s presence further west to support our vision of being America’s favorite place for chicken salad.”
Chicken Salad Chick is also expanding in Texas. In June, it announced it signedfranchise agreements that will bring nearly 20 new restaurants to the state during the next five years.
The chain has also signed agreements to open six locations in Virginia Beach, Va., with the first set to open in summer 2023, and all six are planned to open during the next three and a half years.
Founded in 2008, Chicken Salad Chick has grown to more than 220 restaurants in 17 states. The company has set an overall development goal to have 500 locations open and by the end of 2025.
