BATAVIA, IL — Thanksgiving is nearly here and people in Batavia are busy planning the perfect menu for this year’s holiday dinner.
In the rush to make a complete holiday meal for the entire family, it’s quite possible we’ll forget an item or two on our grocery lists. Fortunately, some grocery stores in Batavia will be open Thanksgiving Day to pick up the forgotten rolls or the missing can of cranberry sauce.
Here are the hours for grocery stores that will be open on Thanksgiving Day, along with those that won’t. As always, Patch encourages you to call ahead to your local store to confirm hours at that location.
Amazon Fresh: Open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Locations are in Bloomingdale, Naperville, Oak Lawn, Morton Grove, Schaumburg and Westmont.
Angelo Caputo’s Fresh Markets: Locations open 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. The store closest to Batavia can be found at 3115 111th St. in Naperville.
CVS: All 24-hour CVS Pharmacy locations will remain open with regular hours on Thanksgiving. Non-24-hour CVS Pharmacy locations will close at 5 p.m. Some locations may have reduced pharmacy hours or may be closed for the holiday. The company recommends calling ahead to confirm store hours. In Batavia: 115 N. Randall Road
Jewel-Osco: Stores will be open on Thanksgiving 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. In Batavia: 119 S. Randall Road in Batavia
Mariano’s: Stores will open at their usual time and close at 5 p.m. Pharmacies are closed. Near Batavia: 3025 E. New York St. in Aurora
Meijer: Most store locations are open from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Near Batavia: 885 S. Randall Road in St. Charles
Walgreens: Most Walgreens stores will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Walgreens stores and pharmacies that operate 24 hours will be open, with other select pharmacies open with modified hours. Customers are encouraged to check their local store hours before heading out. In Batavia: 122 W. Wilson St. and 1918 W. Fabyan Parkway
