
Three learners at Batavia High School in Claremont were injured after a knife attack broke out earlier today.
Three learners from Batavia High School sustained slight stab wounds and injuries following an altercation that broke out in Claremont today.
A fourth learner was arrested in connection with the incident.Lieutenant Col Marnus Fourie, Claremont Vispol commander, says the 18-year-old learner was arrested earlier today following an altercation between him and three other learners.
According to the police report, a fight broke out after 13:00 today when three of the learners attacked the fourth away from the school premises.
The fourth learner retaliated, pulling out a knife.
“All three sustained lesser-severe cut and stab wounds. They were taken to the hospital for treatment. The learner yielding the knife was arrested and is being held at Claremont Police Station. The knife has been recovered,” says Fourie.
